Nyumba
Solo/Angular, .NET, PostgreSQL, Terraform/2026/Pre-launch
Finding a home in Uganda is hard enough. Trusting the title and the deposit is harder. Land-title disputes are common, and marketplace listings alone do not solve that.
Approach
I am building Nyumba as a Uganda-first property marketplace — search and verified listings, with two differentiators up front: title verification on a property, and mobile-money escrow that holds a deposit until both sides confirm.
The stack is Angular and PrimeNG on the front, .NET with a hexagonal core on the back, PostgreSQL with PostGIS for geo search, Redis for caching, and Terraform for cloud-agnostic infrastructure. Payments target MTN MoMo and Airtel Money for the Uganda market.
Result
The site is up at zimbako.com in a pre-launch state. I am still finishing the escrow and title-check flows before treating it as a shipped product with users.
What I am watching carefully: keeping the trust features first-class in the UI, not buried behind a generic listing grid — they are the reason the product exists.
