CoinPiling
Solo/Angular, .NET, Azure, Capacitor/2026
Most finance apps show you today — balances, recent spending, a budget bar. That is useful, but it does not answer the question that changes behavior: where does this path put me in five or ten years?
Approach
I built CoinPiling as a personal finance platform with wealth projection and what-if scenarios at the center. The backend is .NET (clean architecture) on Azure; the frontend is Angular with Capacitor for iOS and Android. Auth runs through Auth0; production data sits on Azure PostgreSQL.
Projection templates, scenario modelling, portfolio gap analysis, and budget engines share one domain model so a change in one place can show up in the projected outcome before you commit to it.
Result
The product is live at coinpiling.com. Shipping projection and what-if first forced hard decisions about defaults and empty states — users need a believable tomorrow even when today's data is incomplete.
What I would do differently: invest earlier in onboarding that asks for fewer inputs before showing a first projection, then deepen the model as trust builds.
